Winter + A Down Robe = A Toasty Way to Spend a Cold Day

If it is winter, you can probably look out your window and see birds eating from your feeder.  How can they be playing outside, when you are in your house, with the heat on, shivering?  If you know anything about birds, you know that they have several different types of feathers to keep them warm in cold climates.  The feathers that keep birds warm are their down feathers, and if you want to stay warm during the winter, consider wrapping yourself up in a down robe.

Down robes are great for cold climates, because they are very warm.  If you have one for everyone in your family, you can turn down your thermostat and save some money on heating your house.  A down robe will actually pay for itself with the gas or electricity that you save.

You may think that a down robe is too bulky, and you would end up dragging the sleeves around, and have to get it dry cleaned every other week.  If you don’t like warm clothes, a down robe, is probably not the right choice for you, but don’t worry about it being too bulky.  If you buy the right kind, it will be filled with 100% of the warm, soft and fluffy down feathers, which will add warmth, without adding extra bulk.
If you are worried about dry cleaning, some of the robes can actually be machine washed
.

A down robe will definitely keep you warm in the winter.  The fluffy down feathers from a bird will keep you comfortable, and also help out the environment and your savings account as well.
